Francotte 410

I pulled out m 410 to take pictures of the snap caps. Thought I would share pictures of this Francotte 1923 HE model. I owned two of these but a friend now owns the other one.
We both try to get out and shoot our 410’s one time a year over pointed wild birds.
Definitely a handicap so when bird numbers are down and flushing further out I don't hunt with it, but in good years I love shooting the Francotte.
I’m sure some have seen pictures of my 410 previously, but thought I would post again. As always tapping on each picture increases clarity.

I really like that Francotte, Phillip. Thanks for posting the pic.

I am another .410 enthusiast, when used appropriately, for game birds. Would you share a little more about it, barrel length, chokes, weight, etc.?

I tend to favor the longer barrel lengths in a .410, even for close, flushing birds. Reason being that the extra mass out there helps smooth out my mount and swing. I have three with 30" barrels, that I use often. I'm always on the lookout for quality, long, .410s.

I have to admit that I like the minty A+F marked case and accessories that was built for a 410 as much as the gun. Also noticed the tube of Rig in the case-I've been using the stuff for over 40 years and wouldn't think of putting anything else on my guns. Thanks for posting pictures!

I pulled the records today. Haven't looked at them for awhile. When Bob Beech did a letter for G&H he went all out. I sure wish he could fo a letter on my Francotte 28 gauge 30 E. It also has a case but in rough condition. Yet the gun is beautiful. I was told that it was a gun owned by the grandmother that shot ducks with it.
Here is the package with the letter. The initials on the case PDW was actually the 2nd owner. The first owner had it for a year and it appears traded it in against a graded Francotte 410 and a Boss.

I've always liked that little Francotte from the time I saw you shooting Eurasions with it! Put me first in line Phil when you decide to let it go!
