Flues Cocking Hook
Just a note. I was ordering some spare parts to keep "just in case" and found that the seller gun-garage doesn't have these in stock. I contacted him and found that he didn't make them, he bought from a supplier and had no more in stock and didn't believe they would be available in the future. Kind of bite for Ithaca collectors, given this is likely the weakest piece in Ithaca's most produced gun.

Yeah, the flues cocking slides are something that I get a lot of inquiries on and never have extras on hand for long.

I recently bought a 16 ga Gr3 with ejectors. The hook was slightly too short and would jump under the cocking levers when the gun dropped open. I happen to have a 12 ga Gr3 in really new condition. I swapped the hooks, and the 12 still worked fine. I installed the better condition hook from the 12 in the 16 and had to file the breech end of the hook slightly shorter and it worked great too. Go figure. The relative dimensions of the two were quite different as to the length of the hook end and the length of the rod, but the overall length was about the same, and I ended up with two well fitting hooks. The 12 ga was original had a lot of wear space available.
