Acme Barrels
I need a set of Acme Barrels for a C grade Parker- What are my chances of finding one? The barrels on the gun have been cut to 21 inches Thank you -George

Doggone slim chance of finding orphaned Acme barrels.

I would make "happy" with the 21" barrels and look for a longer set, Acme or not Acme. What is your gauge and frame size?

Thanks. Ejector or non ejector? If you decide to sell the gun, sell it on this site.

Bill- Ejector - I do not know what the gun is worth with 21 inch barrels. The wood is in nice condition (no cracks-chips etc.) needs a rubber pad. The blue is a very light patina with out any surface rust. Overall I think the gun is in good condition?- If I can figure out how to send pictures I will do so.-Thank you-George

Hi George, like Dean said, you are shopping in thin air looking for Acme barrels. I seem to recall a set that came up for sale on this form a couple of years ago. They sold the same day as I recall it and that is the only set that I have ever seen for sale. You may want to consider just finding a set of barrels and having the rib legend re-engraved if it bothers you that much that it doesn't say Acme. For all I know one of our members may even be able to roll stamp it for you, assuming we are talking about a solid rib and not a vent rib gun ?

Randy -It is a solid rib gun. Thank you-George

Titanic barrels are not unheard of on a CH as well as Damascus.

379 12 GA C grades were fitted with Titanic Barrels. 410 had Acme. Titanic barrels are appropriate then for C's and much easier to find since D grades had them as well.
