410 hulls

What brand of 410 hulls are best for reloading?

IMHO nothing better than the original compression formed AAs. Late years I've loaded Remington STSs which one can get a full half ounce of shot in!!

I have found Winchester AAHS to be the easiest for me 2 1/2. Remington in 3 in. Loading on a MEC size master.

I load mainly Cheddite 3" shells. They seem to crimp the best out of all of them. I also do some Rem and Win hulls, but I find the Cheddite to load and crimp better on my 600 Jr.

I've loaded most of the brands. Which loads the best depends, to some degree, on whether you are star crimping or roll crimping. When star crimping I didn't really like the Federals. Rios worked okay, and Fiocchis. As said, the big two's worked great ....... Remington and Winchesters. Both the Nitro 27 and the STS Remington hulls are superb, as are the WW AAs. My roll crimped ones have all been Cheddites ........... looking for increased hull capacity for my .75 oz. nickel plated shot loads.
