This guy got too rambunctious to stay in the nest. First saw him on the 17th --
Attachment 106493 Saw him again on the 28th. Attachment 106494 Adults are still attending to him. Hopefully this family will thin the arboreal rats!! |

What a cutie! Here are his dopplegangers - a pair of horned owls in their nest in the stacker end of a gold dredge in SW Alaska.

I haven't actually seen them feeding the little guy, but I see them around all the time. This forenoon I was cleaning up around my Ginko tree and looked up to see him watching me --
