Loooong Barreled 20 gauge
This is as good as it gets for a Winchester.
3' chambers. A Magnum ? 1 of about 130 https://i.imgur.com/NynqGyL.png https://i.imgur.com/bTRZCRY.png |
26” and 30” is a great two-barrel combo.

What a beautiful round frame 21. I recently sold a nearly identical 20 gauge 30", 26" two barrel set to a gentleman who is the president of a historic hunting club, the gun having been ordered by the founder of the club. It was a great gun, but the new owner needs it more than I do. The club is the Jefferson Islands Club, the hunting club of the political elite in Washington. The gun lettered as a Tournament Grade. When he saw the gun and its provenance, he was hooked. I couldn't turn down his offer.

My set is 26"/28". Skeet configuration

OMG Mr. Bill!
I was so wrapped up doing my due diligence while vetting this set that I just noticed it’s a “Flat Side”. |
Bobby, there are flat side guns that are not round frames, and there are round frames that are not flat side. There are also DELUXE grade guns made on standard frames. The flat side, round frame guns, like the one you pictured, are my favorites.

Sacrilege to say it, but only shotgun a person would need. :D
What a nice 21. |
Right, Joe, I don't need any more guns. :rotf::rotf:

Three-inch chambers were an available Model 21 option from the beginning. No mention of 3-inch chambers on that page from Cody. Are the 3-inch chambers on the order sheet they say is available?
The Model 21 Magnum 20-gauge wasn't introduced until the January 2,1954, Winchester catalog -- Attachment 116864 and the special 20-gauge Magnum page from the big 1955 Winchester catalog. Attachment 116865 The first 20-gauge 3-inch Magnum shells were Western Super-X loaded with Lubaloy shot, 1 1/8 ounce of #6 Lubaloy or 1 3/16 ounce of #4 Lubaloy, which appeared in the December 15, 1954, Western Cartridge Co. price list. Attachment 116866 Attachment 116868 In 1960, the big four all added chilled shot 1 1/4 ounce 20-gauge, 3-inch, magnum loads to their offerings -- Attachment 116869 Attachment 116870 Attachment 116871 Attachment 116872 |
Good evening Mr. N
Both 26 and 30 inch barrels are stamped 3”. I was surprised to see it on the 26 inchers. |
