32 inch Bernard Barrels take a Tom
1 Attachment(s)
I finally had fortune go my way this morning just a few minutes before sunrise. I've been wanting to take a turkey with my 1886 grade 4 Parker, and things worked out perfectly this morning as a bird came in to my calls, saw the decoys, and posed for a full choked 1 oz. load of 6s. There was no doubt on the pattern from the 32 inch barrels that had been patterned back in 1886 to place 180 #8s in a 24 inch circle at 45 yards.
First shot fired from this great, old gun that's been in the safe waiting for just the right time. Thanks, Josh L.! |
Beautiful gun and a gorgeous turkey! Well done……

Nice C Garry!
What gauge and what frame size? I have one just like it, 1-frame 12 gauge, 30” Bernard barrels. Mine will be on display in the Parker/Elsie tent later this week. . |
