Hi,

I'm new to PGCA and really glad I found it!
I've recently gotten a couple parker shotguns and trying to get more information about them, including what loads I can use with them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Tim

Welcome to the fold Tim, this is definitely the right place!
In terms of more information on your guns, there are two primary sources, the first is the Serialization Book, which lists by SN (not all mind you) and provides the key features/type for the gun. Many of us have these books and would look you guns up to check for you.
The second source is the production records that PGCA has and can research to provide whatever history is available in the records. Note that it is not totally inclusive as there are records missing. The letter can be ordered on-line from the link on the home page. You will see that you can check to see if there are records available with the SN.

In terms of shooting your guns, it is advisable you have them checked by a gunsmith before doing so. Generally, we try to shoot low pressure loads but it is dependent on gun condition, age and barrel type.
A bit more detail on your guns, SN will let folks look in the book to check specs. Pictures are great also.

Again, welcome to the Parker world, you're going to enjoy it!

Thanks Keavin! If any one would be willing to look my guns up I would really appreciate it.
My SN's are: 181879, it's a 16 gauge/Trojan steel. The other is a 12 gauge/vulcan steel; SN 151473. I can't find any dents, bulges or pitting.
I can send some pictures as well, but I'm not what shots to send?

Thanks again for you help!

Tim, neither gun is in the Serialization Book, However, if you go to the home page, click on Research Letter, you can check to see if there are factory records available. If so you may want to obtain a letter on each. In terms of pictures if you look at other posts you will get the gist of what members typically post for pictures. Good luck and enjoy!
