Dean Romig 02-24-2013 06:07 PM

That GHE looks brand new... I thought Remington stopped making Parkers long ago

Rich Anderson 02-24-2013 06:29 PM

What a nice 410. Is there water or grass under all that snow? I hate mowing grass but must confess I'm looking forward to it VS shoveling snow:banghead:

David Dwyer 02-24-2013 07:12 PM

C O B
Snow?? what is that?
David

Rich Anderson 02-24-2013 08:06 PM

It's that white stuff made from falling frozen water, Good for tracking deer, pheasants, rabbitts ect. Also a great provider of back problems and cardiac arrests. I've seen so much lately (but not as much as others) that when I looked at the picture its the first thing that came to mind. We are going to get another 6-7 inches in the next day or so:cuss: On the bright side on a snow day I'll load 400 16ga shells :)

Gary Carmichael Sr 02-24-2013 08:30 PM

David, Are there any gators in that pond, with a sprinkling of cotton mouths?

Thanks for the education. I have heard too much of it and you become a "Crazy Old Man"?
David

David Dwyer 02-26-2013 10:22 AM

Gary
Yes, gators will come in off of the river but do not hang around long:) The cotton mouths are are just part of the lowcountry.
David

John Truitt 02-26-2013 10:53 AM

COTTON MOUTH would be a great name for a 20 ga hammerless D grade or a 30" D grade hammergun in 16 ga.

David Dwyer 02-26-2013 11:29 AM

John
Ya, maybe? I was thinking old "Miss California" for the D grade 16 Hammer
or maybe C.O.B. as he sure likes it!
David

Rich Anderson 02-26-2013 11:40 AM

David when Miss COB returns from the land of fruits and nuts (AKA California) just send her up here, I'll take real good care of her.:)

John Truitt 02-26-2013 11:44 AM

David,

If you dont mind then I will steal the COTTON MOUTH name for the 34" C grade 16 ga hammer gun.

David Dwyer 02-26-2013 11:49 AM

Humble John

I think that fits or maybe
"Rabbit Gun"
David

Gary Carmichael Sr 02-26-2013 12:30 PM

John,
It's no wonder you break so many more clays than the rest of us. With those long barrels the targets are that much closer!;)

John Truitt 02-26-2013 01:38 PM

Easy fellas. It is an original #1 frame C grade top lever hammer gun however it had no barrels. So I am having a set of 34" 16 ga barrels made for it.
If I can find another monoblock to fit to her I will turn those into a set of 34" 20 ga barrels.

And thank you to Mr Dwyer for letting me steal the COTTON MOUTH name. He is a true gentleman and a good friend :)

John

Dean Romig 02-27-2013 12:13 AM

Now we know who got that lovely C Grade hammergun without the barrels.

Replacing the forend wood will be the easy part of your project gun.

Congratulations Dr. John on getting that one!!
