Meet 298XX

Rolled out of Meriden in 1883. This is the most unmolested gun I have encountered. Check those screws. There is light pitting in the bores. About 50% CC 70% Barrels 20% Trigger guard. Sports 30" 10 gauge Damascus barrels. On face and tight. Pretty spry looking 130 year old. A definite in the pheasant fields this fall. These are sellers pics. More pics after sun and sand break from winter and the postal service does its thing. Cheers, Jack

Beautiful old gun! I have a 12 ga just like her only yours has more in graving than mine. It's amazing how well these old hammer guns hold their case colors, mine has wear in almost similar spots. Beautiful gun!

Very nice, Jack! Enjoy

That's one fine hammer gun you were lucky to find her! I know you will enjoy feeding her some low pressure shells Gary

Jack, what a beauty ! Were you able to get any history from the seller on it's use and how it was maintained in such great shape? You have a new hunting companion! Best of luck! Andy

An awesome find Jack!

Jack Cronkhite 02-10-2013 12:00 PM

Thanks everyone. Pretty sure this will be the best looking golden oldie in my retirement home for old shootin' irons. I will take delivery in early March.

Nice one Jack. May you enjoy her for years to come.:)

Mark Landskov 02-10-2013 01:30 PM

Jack, all three of my Parker 10s are choked full and full. With an ounce of 7-1/2 shot, the patterns at 50 yards are unbelievable! For me, it adds a whole new dimension to my grouse hunting. Cheers!

Rich Anderson 02-10-2013 08:09 PM

Very nice Jack, congrats:)

Bill Murphy 02-11-2013 04:41 PM

Order a PGCA letter and tell us about it.

Mike Franzen 02-11-2013 09:28 PM

I'm hoping you'll bring it to the outhern.

Rich Anderson 02-12-2013 09:26 AM
