Articulated Trigger

I know there was little bit written about the articulated triggers. I am curious, how rare are they on a gun or is there any production information? Does it add much value to a gun? Would that option always show in a letter? I would appreciate your some insight. Regards
Kevin

A hinged front trigger is not uncommon at all on better English guns, but I believe it was only offered on the very top grade Parkers. There's some info on it's use by Parker in The Parker Story.

Edgar, Thank you. I am referrring to the trigger as it relates to Parker land.

Kevin,
I believe it was offered on A grades and above but am not 100% sure. What grade gun do you have that has one?

Larry, 1925 BHE. Thank you for your thoughts. It is just a little unusual and not much information on.

Joe Jurjevic used to do a great conversion on customers guns to change the front trigger to a hinged version. He was in Batavia,NY, if I remember, but was moved, lock, stock and barrel (little pun there) to TX by a wealthy collector. He did one for my dad on a Parker, but I don't remember which gun it was.

I think that as with many of the other options, hinged front triggers were an option on any grade, but in most cases they were only ordered on higher grade guns.

Bob my recall is when the previous owner had that gun opened up and cleaned it was discovered the trigger had a different serial number, so it may have come from a higher grade gun. Irregardless of that, I think that gun with it's POW grip and flat rib is the nicest Parker all around of all the guns in our circle of friends. The letter on that gun is very interesting too, it was read to me while I was driving so I don't recall much except it went back to Parker a few times. That's a good one, pictures don't do it justice.

Thanks Pete, funny thing is the serial number printed on the letter is not the one on my gun, I guess on of these days I'll send letter back with serial number of gun.
