Depends upon the eyes of the beholder, certainly not to my tastes. Tony has made a living with similarly encrusted guns.

It is described as having "vent rib barrels", although you can't tell from the pics, have you ever seen a Repro with a vented rib before?

EDIT: They changed their listing this morning removing the "vent rib barrels" verbage.

Is this gun somewhat reminiscent of the Not Tsar's Parker?

Looks like one of Tony's unfinished A-1 Specials that got into the wrong hands.

Marvin Kells 12-14-2012 04:25 PM

Yes!

Jared Valeski 12-14-2012 08:36 PM

Can you say BLING??

Joe Bernfeld 12-14-2012 09:32 PM

Butt ugly!

Rex Northen 12-14-2012 09:36 PM

It does seem more than a bit over the top...

I think it'd go nicely with a few pounds of gold chains around the shooter's neck, half a dozen gold rings, some Italian loafers, and a silk shirt unbuttoned half way to his bellybutton.

Mike Shepherd 12-15-2012 06:28 AM

I'm with Charlie - I like it.

It's not my 'cup of tea' but somebody had a grand vision and did what he wanted to do with the gun. I don't find anything wrong with it and the workmanship is top quality all the way... I really don't think we should get into 'slamming' other peoples guns here. I've got a couple of guns that I like a lot but somebody else didn't and they said so publicly and that didn't leave me with a good feeling.

Anyway, it's an interesting gun and I'm sure whoever buys it will do so because he 'likes it a lot'.

Maybe if someone hunts it hard for 100 years or so it will have the character my 1895 GH has.

I've seen that guy...he was parking his El Dorado across 4 spots at a restaurant.

As for the shotgun...it wouldn't take up much room in my safe wrapped in a gun sock next to the bare bones Trojan.

Larry Stauch 12-15-2012 11:51 AM

Bob, now you know there's no such thing as an ugly Parker…..some are just prettier than others.

Richard Flanders 12-15-2012 09:51 PM

How ugly does a gun have to get before it's gorgeous?? This is nothing compared to a vintage gold-encrusted Tiffany Colt revolver - anyone think they're ugly?? This isn't so bad... I like it actually! But I spent a lot of time handling Triggs custom gold inlaid "Crazy Man" Parker Repros.

Like my Daddy told me many years ago If you don't have anything nice to say maybe you should not say anything at all. Later when I got kids I learned where he got the line.

Peter Clark 12-16-2012 07:09 PM

It's not my taste but then again, it is not my gun. Variety is the spice of life. Whatever combination of features makes you happy is the right one for you.

Brian Dudley 12-17-2012 03:35 AM

I think that if the gun ever gets used enough to wear down the case colors, the gold inlays on the metal won't look all that bad. Now, the gold outlining on the stock will never look right in my opinion.

Justin Julian 12-19-2012 12:06 AM

I'm with Dudley. I actually like the case colors and can forgive the gold inlays, but the gold trim in the wood is just a bit more than I can abide.

todd allen 12-19-2012 02:35 AM

I could do with-out the gold pinstriping on the wood. Otherwise, it's allright.
Oh, and I would prefer 30" BBLs.
