Rare Parkers Discovered
 

When the Inner Circle gathered in SoDak recently, we met up at a well known central SoDak store before proceeding to the farm. While there we discovered an outstanding Parker specimen, the fabled Trojan-B model, the late Rem-Parker blued frame Trojan designed to compete with the black frame British guns.

Also found was an equally rare stock carved model Trojan-C. Few Meriden craftsmen did this type of work, and we have an interesting specimen here.

We have them on lay-away on the dollar a week plan, unless the buyer for Kittery Point grabs them out from under us. Next annual meeting display perhaps?

Also while there, we bought several cases of the latest guaranteed to kill them dead in the air even if you can't lead the bird, pheasant loads. We are told that these are necessary to kill pheasant at 1 3/8 oz, 1500 fps.

Now - those shells, do you use them individually - or just throw the whole box at them at once?

What? No Wells Fargo model?

That would be the ultra rare model. How many do you need? Next week soon enough?

And I trust that the White line pad and grip spacer were very expesive factory options.

Kittery already had theirs... I posted pics years ago of that one. It was truly hideous... I mean yours can't hold a candle to the hideousness of the KTP Trojan...

The one you have pictured is probably a nice shooter.

That whiteline and grip cap were Fajen standard fare. I removed those items from my Father's VH-Grade and then mistakenly replaced them with a Parker Bros. logo grip cap rather than the period correct cap!!

You can tell it's a waterfowl special by the carved duck in the stock. The plain blued frame is reminiscent of the Purdy Funeral Model.

I hunted Woodcock with a gentalman who used those Prarie Storm 12ga shells. he didn't hit anything and I told him it was because he wasn't on the open Prarie and the brush kept getting in the way. If he wanted to hit Woodcock in the thick stuff he needed RST Brush loads.:rotf:

I thought the Trojans were interesting. Not ugly and certainly not trashed like some we see here. The owners took care of them at least. maybe not to my liking but Ill bet the owners liked them.
