E-Bay....

....must be getting lenient with their restrictions on firearms!

There are no locks, so it is parts, and they have been allowing parts for a while.

That said -I doubt they understand the difference and if they get a complaint they will pull it

Mills Morrison 11-06-2012 11:18 AM

Bidding is already up to $560. Serial number is 50421. I wonder what grade it is.

Bill Murphy 11-06-2012 01:12 PM

Looks like a grade 2, but the buyers are bidding on the three lug 20 gauge barrels which would be worth a fortune if they are any good.

this bidding could be interesting..im looking but its over my head... charlie

S/N is not listed in the book. Fingers crossed that it is actually a 20.

Mike Shepherd 11-07-2012 08:51 AM

The ad is gone. Says something like "Seller stopped auction as item is no longer available."

Chuck Bishop 11-07-2012 09:10 AM

A research letter would be a good idea.

Jeff Kuss 11-07-2012 09:40 AM

Someone made him an offer he couldn't resist!

Dean Romig 11-07-2012 09:47 AM

The barrels were not what they were advertised to be.

It isn't. It's a 16 and cut down from 32"

David Noble 11-07-2012 08:56 PM

It's back up as a 16 ga.

Rick Losey 11-07-2012 09:01 PM

16  Angel -dont look

Bill Murphy 11-08-2012 08:05 AM

Edgar, did you get the 32" information from our reseacher or from the seller?

Chuck Bishop 11-08-2012 08:12 AM

Edgar didn't get the info from me. My post was a hint that it wasn't what it was reported to be.

edgarspencer 11-08-2012 08:39 AM

I was bidding against another PGCA member (unknowingly, but not surprising) who got the info from Chuck. The Seller contacted me to say he had cancelled the auction, that they were, as I suspected, 16 gauge, and cut down.

Dean Romig 11-08-2012 09:18 AM

I learned the information from a bidder (PGCA Member) who contacted the seller with specific questions.

edgarspencer 11-08-2012 11:52 AM

When people make the decision to chop their barrels, why can't they cut them a little over, instead of a little under?

edgarspencer 11-08-2012 01:52 PM

The operative word being IF

while my heart rate was still elevated, I made a fairly thorough scan of the serialization book. IF that gun had, in fact, turned out to be a 20gauge, it would have been the 5th Grade 2 20 gauge, the 8th Top Lever 20 gauge, and among the first dozen 20 gauge guns. Only if..............

Mills Morrison 11-08-2012 01:54 PM

IF is the operative word

edgarspencer 11-08-2012 02:01 PM

You've heard the old saying "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is."
