VHE Forend parts

Hi All,
I have a project #2 VHE that needs forend parts. This is a shooter so I'm not concerned about serial numbers. I have the forend and Iron, but need the following. I will buy a VHE # 2 forend if necessary but need right and left hammers, right and left combo sears, right and left main spring, sear spring and cocking toggle. Any connections or thoughts?
Thanks,
Carl

Carl, call Larry DelGrego. 315 894 8754 or 315 895 7395

Hi George,
I called and talked to Larry and he said i'd have to have the parts made. Had no suggestions either. You have any other thoughts on possibilities? Numerich has nothing.
Thanks George,
Carl

Valley Gunshop in WNY has all of those as OEM parts. I saw them today at the Syracuse, NY gunshow and did look at their Parker parts.

Maybe I shouldn't let my secret stash be known!!!!!

If they have what I'm looking for, I will NEVER tell a sole. Thanks very much. It has been very frustrating as I have looked and contacted soooo may people and companies...all for a shooter.
Thanks very much Bob,
Carl

Carl, let us know how this turns out. Bob, if they have the secret stash, I'll never tell. George

Obviously Bob. You are sworn to secrecy too.

I can't see worth a darn without my glasses...Obviously GEORGE, you are sworn to secrecy too.

OK--I'll let more of the cat out of the bag. They have OEM trigger plates, receiver screws, trigger guards, skeletal butt plates (unengaraved) and lots more.

Do you think they have what I need? Also, any idea what the prices will be, ball park?

Bob Jurewicz 04-21-2012 09:32 PM

Carl,
I paid $5/screw today. I have no idea of the others, but, they have had this stuff for a long long time. It came decades ago from Remington. Ed, the gunsmith, told me that Galazans has bought a lot of their stuff. If others need internal receiver parts just call and ask. They have 4 plastic divided trays with these smalls.

Ok thanks a bunch.

Funny, I talked to someone at Galazans today and they told me they have no Parker parts. Your source must be a source they don't want to reveal either.
It seems to me, there would be a good business for the remanufacturing of these old parts. Maybe Galazan is planning to do just that?

Bob Jurewicz 04-21-2012 10:35 PM

Carl,
These are original unfitted parts.

Carl if they have the parts, Larry is the guy to fit them.

Carl Baird 04-21-2012 11:10 PM

My gunsmith is a pretty handy guy. If it's close he can finish it. Besides, as good as Larry is, this is a shooter....a nice looking shooter but not something I can justify putting a lot of money into.

Carl,
How did you make out with Valley??
Bob Jurewicz

Carl Baird 04-25-2012 08:15 PM

I don't know yet. When FINALLY I think someone has led to the end of my journey, a minor setback. The ONLY man at Valley that knows where the parts are...goes on vacation for two weeks. I will not know for another 10 days. It's truly testing me as a patient man. I don't know if I will make it.
Bob, I promise you I will let you know when I know.

BTW, you know someone that will whittle me a stock and forend for a gun in the white. Truly new old stock. A 28 Ga. hammer gun in the white, everything there except the wood. Believed to be a Belgium make, nicely made, but not extravagant.
