Louisiana Part 8

This morning was nice. 54 degrees and a 8K breeze building to 15. Cloudy, and warmed up to 76. Bag 2 specklebellies,1 pintail,1 greenwing teal and 2 Spoonbills.I had a fine time. The first split ends tomorrow and Pam and I are goilg to Texas then on Dec 17 it is Charleston, SC for Deer hunting with dogs and "birds" off of horseback.I will keep you informed.

Sounds like a great morning. We also do the deer hunting with the drivers on horseback just below Charleston...there is nothing like it. Loved the few articles I have read about Avery Island, seems like a paradise.

From page 129-132 is a decent excerpt about deer hunting in South Carolina. It was written by Ben Moise and is an excellent book called Ramblings of a Lowcountry Gamewarden.

I lived in South Carolina for a year and barely fired a shotgun. Why couldn't I have run into guys like that when I was suffering in Easley?

About 1999, I can't remember exactly, I've blocked it from my mind.

Well I appreciate the invite none the less. I didn't end up heading south at all, the lack of ducks on Beaver Dam kept me at home.
