As in this is a real Parker for sale or a scam?
As in did someone actually go through the effort to do an Invincible upgrade?
I know the three real ones are in a museum.
The description said something about paying 20 grand for it but now listed for 10 grand, seems kind of fishy. That's why I suspect it's legitimacy.

It is what it is, an upgrade in poor taste. A lot of work went into that gun.

Remove the gold work, and case harden the receiver, and I could like it.

To be honest , I kind of like it !! A 16 Gauge with Gorgeous Wood , Beautiful Engraving and a Gold Grouse on the floor plate ! Imagine what all this Wood work and Bling would cost in today's market ! The only detractor for me is the Butt Pad and the overall weight of the gun ! If I were planning on " Blinging "up a lower grade Parker which I am not but , It would seem like a buy to me ! Just my Opinion !

Bill Murphy 07-17-2026 08:56 AM

Russ is right. The price is not a problem. This seller is not known for friendly pricing of his merchandise.

I guess if you got the funds and you want a blingy shooter it's pretty damn nice. I know a guy who buys those NRA, Ducks Unlimited and Turkey Foundation gaudy commemorative guns such as A5's, 1911's and others at auction, new an unfired, for less than the regular versions because they just don't hold any value. He looks like a pimp on the skeet field but he sure has some perty shooters..hahhaha

Pachmayr upgraded several Parker's to the shop's definition of "Invincible" Grade. This looks like one that was completed in the Pachmayr shop in my opinion, and another clue is the Pachmayr pad.

Frank and his team upgraded several of these guns, and quite a few were donated to Ducks Unlimited to sell at auction throughout the US. All of the proceeds went to Ducks Unlimited and other conservation groups to keep and restore wildlife and wetlands habitat.

A good friend of mine has almost the same gun, that was originally a "D" grade subsequently upgraded by the Pachmayr shop to "Invincible" Grade. It was donated by Frank and Nan Pachmayr and sold at a Ducks Unlimited Gala in Stockton, CA in the early 1980's.

Thanks,

Bobby
