Lefever SxS circa 1904, Krupp Steel
Greetings,
Are there any PGCA members that are also interested/know much about Lefever SxS's? Would welcome an opportunity to discuss a E Grade, 12GA, 30" that I would like to find a good home for, but not sure what to ask for it. Plenty of pix availabe. Thanks, George |

Lefever
Thank You, I have visited their site and the unit was featured in their latest Newsletter, but No one has provided any guidance on value or what I should ask for it.
Pictures can be found in my album. Best, George |

I saw that in the newsletter. That's a very nice gun George. Have you actually gone on the Lefever site and asked for help evaluating it?
|
Yes, I have. The jury is till out, but I have been advised of likely value of between $2-3K, and one offer has already come in.
|
There you go. You now know what to maybe ask for it.
|
Exactly. Take your best offer in that range.
|
Nice F grade
|
Thanks!
Thank you for all the feedback...truly appreciate it.
Enjoy the weekend. |
What damage behind either lockplate? Nice gun.
|
Hi Bill, "What Damage"...not sure what you mean. What should I be looking for?
|
There just seems to be a bit of a mark behind the lockplate on one of the pictures. I'm sure, if you don't see it, it doesn't exist. I would love to add that gun to my collection of Lefevers, but I am selling, not buying.
|
Hi Bill,
Thank you for your note. I looked over the gun again and there is a small indentation (scratch that does not break the finish) behind the right lock plate as you suggested. There seems to be some sort of mark behind the left lock plate, but hard to tell what it is. Thanks for pointing it out. I will make sure I share that with any buyer. Best, George |
Nice gun. Lefevers are the other make of shotgun I collect and shoot. I’d shoot that gun. Why are you selling it? If you’re not interested in shooting it, sell it to whoever made you the offer on the LACA site.
|
Mike,
Thanks for your note. Selling it for my aging Uncle...not much of a shotgun guy, more US military weapons and a full gun safe already. George |
