1922 parker gun ser #200508

I'm trying to find out the value of a Parker gun because it's 3,000 miles from me and I need to insure it before I bring it home.
It was left to me by uncle whom passed about 45 years ago.
My older brother had it and he has passed and now it come to me.
I would love to include pictures to post but don't know how.

Do you know the grade, gauge, or other features? Our research material suggests that a gun with this serial number would have two or more sets of barrels. Make sure you try to locate the additional barrels.

Book lists it as a VH 12 ga.capped pistol grip 26" barrels and came with an extra set of barrels.

No I do not have any info on gun as it's 3,000 miles away
I do know it's 12 ga with 2 barrels and leather case
I'd sent pics but don't know how on this forum

As a precaution, I would insure it for at least $5K as very good or better condition Parker VH guns with additional factory added barrels and case is hard to replace or find for that matter. Frame size is also a $ factor as a 1frame is very desirable. That can be found on the bottom of the rear barrel lug. I'm assuming each set of barrels has its own fore end and is so numbered 1&2 on the fore end iron and the fore end lug on the barrels.

Add the pics to your smart phone or device. Go to post a comment and then go to manage extensions. Tap add and you'll see a window as to where to take it from. Select and add photo then tap upload. You can do this 5 or six times before starting again

Appears to be a #1 frame with 26" and 28" barrels. What a great upland game gun. Please use it in good health. She was meant to be used. Do so with appropriate low pressure loads.

Great heritance. When my dad passed my brother inherited his Parker 16 ga VH but didn't shoot it. So I asked him if I could have it. He said sure but you'll have to buy it. Needless to say that really pissed me off but I wanted the 16 to remain in the family and it was the one Parker that I shot growing up. I offered my brother $300 for it and he agreed. I had to have it restocked as the wood was cracked at the wrist and thoroughly oil soaked. I had Larry DelGrego restock it to my dimensions and recolor the frame. Came out very well. One of my grandsons will get it. Just had to keep it in the family. Oh and my brother's an asshole.

Dandy Parker!! Hope you plan to use it. I agree on the insurance to put on it, just in case something happens in shipment, but it cannot be replaced. Make sure whoever ships it has everything wrapped. I would wrap each barrel and the receiver individually and pack well in a box separate from the case. The weight of the guns in that wooden case could damage the case the way the shippers handle things these days. If the case is empty (packed correctly) it should not be damaged under its own weight. Good luck and post more photos when you get your hands on it. Congrats!!!
