New to the Group
Looking for information on a double barrel shotgun from my wife's family. It's damascus barrel SN 14401. Will upload pictures and would love to have as much information about it as possible.
Thank you! |

Nice D grade Lifter!
. |
An exceptional original gun. Don't let any supposed "gunsmith" touch it. Anything done to it will decrease its value.
|
What a beautiful graded lifter! Treasure it.
|
I've said it before and I'll say it again...
WOW!!!!! |
I enthusiastically agree with everyone’s thoughts. The only thing I can add is this beautiful gun was manufactured in 1879.
|
WOW Any chance your wife's family needs more family members?? : )
|
May we see a few more detailed pics of the forend checkering... each side and bottom view please?
. |
That's my kind of Parker! A very nice original example. Too cool!

Additional photos
Hello Scott, I know you were going to post some additional photos of your beautiful lifter, one of 265 of all barrel lengths as listed in the Parker Story. It would be great if those additional pictures included the barrel flats, the water table and the bottom of the receiver. Let us know what the barrel lengths are will narrow your gun down a little more. Oh, and one of the end of the end of the barrels, looking into the bores, will be useful too.
