Red Skies to Redheads
3 Attachment(s)
What started out as a beautiful sunrise turned into a great duck hunt. Perfect extra cold conditions with just the right amount of wind. Big group came over screaming, hooked around and buzzed our decoys low. Dad and I ended with our redhead limit. Dunkle made the multiple retrieves. God Bless America!

You are livin’ right as my Pop used to say. The best part is that you realize it. Congratulations.

Great pics, Rick. Well done.
|
Nice pictures and an even nicer DH !!
. |
Thanks, Dean. It’s actually my first Parker with ejectors. Three frame, 12 gauge.
|
Some day i will get to do redheads and cans.

Fabulous! How long are the barrels? . |
30”. I’d love to find a set of 10 gauge to have fitted on this frame.

Great post , Rick, but you are killing me! You could not have done it with a more handsomely nostalgic duck gun and a more able looking dog, but what really put the sap on my head is that in my c. 57 years of duck hunting, I have NEVER killed a Redhead!! And perhaps the most moving of all for me is that you did it with your Dad!!! "Oh, the humanity!"
|
Well Kevin, it sounds like you and I need to go hunting! I’ll bring Dad.
When Reds commit it’s as if you are living out a MacQuarrie or Spiller story. |
Great hunt and great pics. Redheads are right up there with Cans for being very tasty. How much does that #3 frame DH weight?
|
Nothing better than hunting big water ducks with a god dog. Coingrats!
|
A stellar sunrise, 2 gorgeous redheads, a to-die-for Parker duck gun and a wet Griff...otherwise known as a walk-off grandslam homerun...
...the best part of course is the pup, who better get to lick the plates... |
Whoops - GOOD dog. Needed another cup of coffee
|
Great backdrop for a photo and that DH is the stuff dreams are made of.
