Just a question
How many members of congress shoot Parkers?
Does Chuck Shummer shoot? |
How the heck would we know. Let's not walk the line on a political discussion.
|
None. They are gun-shy. Can't blame them. I did have a very real dream that DJT came to my house and shot some clays with me and my buddy. I woke up when a secret service agent said " If either one of you even begin to move the muzzle of your gun toward him you will be DEAD ON YOUR FEET. Would that be called a nightmare?

Here’s what AI says:
“ Senator Chuck Schumer went pheasant hunting in Nebraska in 2009, an event that drew significant media attention. The hunt was viewed by many as a calculated political move to court favor with hunters and gun owners. His primary hobbies are cycling and attending ball games, and he is not known to be a regular or avid hunter.” I wouldn’t expect someone who grew up in an urban area to be a hunter. I present the facts in response to a question. I’ve never understood why political discussions are banned in forums and so I will not engage in that. However, if they were not banned, we should use every opportunity to bash anti 2A politicians and laud those that promote 2A principles. |
It is because it is impossible for people to remain civil on the topic of politics. Or religion for that matter also. It is for the sake of the community and the health of the forum.
If you cannot help yourself, there is always the dumpster fire that is the doublegunshop. |
I wish I could thank Brian’s post ten more times.

How bout deleting this thread altogether?

I think Brian’s words should stay up as a reminder to all forum users.

On a lighter side of the discussion , Dick Cheney used to come to The Rolling Rock Club which is only three miles from my place ,when he was VP. to Shoot Pheasants ! They would block the roads from the Latrobe airport to transport him to Ligonier ,it was always quite a day when he would arrive for an afternoon hunt !!!!:rotf:

It's a pertinent topic unless you're clueless about how politics works. It behooves a group of enthusiasts to know who shares a similar passion. It can open discussions with politicians who, UNFORTUNATELY, have what we may need. I did a lot of lobbying in Albany and trust me when I say that there are politicians who are on our side behind closed doors, but not so much publicly. They don't want to severe the whole constituency they have, sadly. One of the finest collection of WWII rifles and early American shotguns belongs to a NYS politician who won't publicly support the shooting sports, but I always knew if there was an issue I could call him or go to his house to discuss it. So YES, it is important to know who might shoot a Parker or enjoy SxS shotguns, and that INCLUDES politicians. I kind of like the original question. But Schumer? Uh...no.
|
It wasn't my intent in my original question to create a firestorm. Have a good day everyone.
