Half of a nice Lifter
 

I picked up this gun with a mismatched bbl. set, and no forend. I am hoping to find a forend, and at least make it shootable again.
The serialization book lists it as a PS grade? no extras, 10ga 28". I think this would have been a dollar grade?

That’s a Grade-4 or the predecessor to the Grade-4.

What’s wrong with those barrels in the background? They look like Lifter barrels.

They are lifters, but mismatched.

But do they fit or can they be made to fit? After all, they are for a Grade-4…

Wrong frame size…?
Wrong gauge…?

As far as finding the original barrels and forend you’re not likely to be successful.

That number on the barrel flats is an order number. The serial number is on the left side of the lug.

I didn't think there was a number there, but sure enough under the crud, it matches! They are 28 1/8" as the book says 28".
I know the original forend will never be found, but maybe another that would work?

You could have one made for that nice lifter.

There is an old beat up fore end with iron and wedge on eBay. Worth asking for measurements item# 116054521494

That depends on the frame size.

10’s were normally made on the 3-frame but a few were made on the 2-frame. 12 gauge Lifters were normally made on either the 1-frame or the 2.

What is the S/N?

The measurements say it's a #2 frame.

Sure would be a find if that forend would work.Wood can be replaced.
