Timber RIP
1 Attachment(s)
[B]Today Timber, our Champion Pointing Lab was laid to rest, the victim of advanced lung cancer. Rather that put her thru the Chemo business we made the decision to let her go with dignity.
She was 14 yrs old and did an excellent job on pheasants in Mid-March and found two long flying quail cripples in waste high crap as icing on the cake. Couldn't have asked for better work for her final hunt. Always a terrible day when we lose an outstanding partner, one who hunted pheasants from the Dakotas, to New York and Mich for grouse, and to Georgia for quail. And on top of all that she had 5 litters, and was just one of some incredible outstanding dogs I have been privileged to own during my lifetime. Last Sunday a 7yr old 4x Grand Master Pointing Retriever came home with me from a trip down to the trainer and a side visit to the Southern. Now two Grand Master females here who are currently looking for our missing Timber. Make sure you guys give your best buddies a good hug this evening. Take Care, Tom and Carol Kidd, Timber, Sugar, and Kate |
I’m sorry to hear that Tom,
Savor the sweet memories |
Our thoughts are with you …we lost our 14 yr old black lab “ Boiler” two and a half years ago and it’s still painful . Jeff langbehn

I know the feeling Tom. I lost my two labs 6 months apart. We have some great memories gifted to us by them.
|
You have my sincere sympathy Tom.
Tobie, my wonderful chocolate lab took her last breath at 13 years, 9 months. . |
I am sorry for your loss.
|
I guess that's the painful thing about owning a great dog - not a happy moment.
Sorry to you and Carol for losing Timber but hope Sugar and your new dog Kate will help ease the pain. |
Sorry for the loss Tom, they are with us too short a time, cherish the memories!
|
Having lost a number of my huntiing partners, I know it never gets any easier. I am sorry for your loss.

I am sorry for your loss.

Every dog deserves a tribute, for most are truer than any human could aspire to be.
Last night I read Corey Ford’s “Just a Dog.” It captures the pain of losing a beloved dog like nothing I have ever read. If you can handle it, you will never forget it. Godspeed, Timber. |
Sorry to hear about Timber. Losing a hunting companion like that is tough. Certainly understand the emptiness and sadness that comes from losing a great dog. Brett

Timber
Tom, Carol,
So sorry for the passing of Timber. It is never easy losing a family member. Take comfort in the fact that she knows how much you loved her. |
Tom I sure hate to hear of your great loss of an ole hunting partner and companion. A dog loves unconditionally and I am saddened by your loss.

Sad day indeed, it's very difficult time. I commend you for not letting her suffer and letting her go with her best interests in mind. Craig

Never fear, she will await you at the rainbow bridge, she will know your voice and run to you as before! Gary

That's a very bad day in our house. Our thoughts are with you.
