ADVERTISER NEEDS SOME SHOOTER DATA

Greetings guys and gals. We have an advertiser in Parker Pages that would like to have an idea of how many folks in Parker Universe hunt waterfowl or any game birds where non-tox shot is required. Please take the poll, it requires nothing but a yes/no answer. Thank you.

PLEASE VOTE YES/NO IN THE ABOVE POLL. DO NOT JUST REPLY TO THIS THREAD AS IT WILL NOT REGISTER IN THE POLL.

I voted yes but my real answer would be "once in a while".

Isn't non-tox shot required for waterfowl in every state?

Brett Souder 02-17-2025 04:20 PM

Yes, non toxic shot is required in every state to hunt waterfowl AND other game birds such as quail, pheasant, grouse where the there is federal land dedicated to waterfowl reproduction. We shoot it a lot out in Kansas and South Dakota and not while waterfowl hunting but in pursuit of upland game.

Guys, not trying to be a smart alec but the voting is to be done at the top of the page on the survey box. Just in case some didn't know this, but if you simply posted "Yes" on the thread it won't be counted as a vote.

Mike Koneski 02-17-2025 06:59 PM

Stan, you beat me to it! THX.

bob lyons 02-17-2025 09:13 PM

When I first saw this thread I didn't see a poll, so I just answered yes, later when I went back to see more replies it was there and then I voted properly.

I do not waterfowl hunt, but on some DNR land non-toxic shot is required. I seldom hunt those properties. I voted in the poll.

Mike Koneski 02-18-2025 06:26 PM

Thank you William.

Ken Hill 02-18-2025 06:50 PM

A lot of SD public land requires non-toxic shot for upland bird hunting.
