CHE 159159 IS BACK

Was a long wait it seems but received gun back from L.DelGrego this week.
Ejectors repaired,Front sight replaced, resolder on muzzle end of top rib and new rust blue of barrels.Gun had been in case for 30 years and had some surface rust on case side of barrels..(just surface rust,no pitting)
I am attempting to send pics..this one made in 1912 is as clean as they can be after 100 years.

Bill

It's hard to go back after you have caught C fever.

Nice gun. I like the floor plate engraving.

Dean Romig 04-14-2011 04:25 PM

Very nice Bill. How long are those barrels? It's hard to see any work was done.

william faulk 04-14-2011 04:40 PM

barrels

these are 32"..note gun does not have a safety as it was ordered that way according to letter...:rotf:

trigger bow

Gun was shipped to Pittsburg in 1912 with a straight stock, gun was returned to Parker in 1917 by a Mr. Brown of Pittsburg to replace stock with the present PG stock.Note trigger bow tang has 2 screws rather than just the usual one because the original tang was uced on the new stock...Bill

Mr. Faulk,

That is a fine looking piece. I wish her and her owner well in giving a beaten to those LC Smith boys at the Southern.

All kidding aside. That really is a fine gun. Very nice.

Have a safe trip and we will see you soon.

John

Southern

God Willing, both gun and I will be in the big shoot with the Smith gang.
First I will have to make the Parker team.I don't think that is an easy task with this group of shooters...

Bill: That's what a C Grade should look like.

Best Regards, George

Great gun you have there Bill. My 32" C is choked full and fuller and I'll bet yours is also. I look forward to seeing you and your Parker at the Southern.

The theme for the 2011 Annual meeting and banquet in Louisville, KY, September 9-11 is "C" grade guns.

Dont forget to contact Dave Suponski for your banquet tickets.

Dont forget to contact David Dwyer to reserve your spots in the "People's Choice" display at the banquet.

CHE chokes

Yep..choked full and fuller.Shot some Bunker Trap yesterday with gun.
It really reachers out there even with the RST low pressures.Amazing to me what those little shells ca do.On Bunker I use #8 in the right barrel and 7.5 in the left.I hit (some) 50 yard birds with the left barrels yesterday.
Gun is fast inspite of those 32" barrels.I would have bought 34" but could not find one. This gun just dropped in my lap .It happens every so often..

That's about what you'll need for those long shots in the Challenge Cup competition.
