A model 21 beauty pageant? That sounds like an oxymoron.

Well, technically, it is an 'other fine double'.

That gun reminds of one an old fellow was carrying in an early money in Arkansas back in the 70's. We were on a construction site and this really old guy came walking up carrying a well used model 21 and stopped to say Hello. The boss tried to make an offer on it but the old guy just smiled, said have a nice day and shuffled on down the train track, you could tell any amount of money could not buy it

Alfred Greeson 10-20-2023 03:17 PM

early morning in Arkansas just after day light

There are times I wish I had something other than a flip phone and could post pictures. This is one of those times.

My Meager collection.

12 Gauge 28"
20 Gauge Skeet Grade 26" and 28". Both barrel sets chambered for 3". Skeet grade but missing "Skeet" logo in floorplate. All data confirmed by Cody Letter

Bobby Cash 10-21-2023 12:52 PM

I'd surely nominate the 2 barrel set...
Miss Motor City (Fancier than Miss Troy)!!

Went out with this gun this morning and killed 5 Gambels quail with 5 shots.
Never used the left barrel.

John Dallas, I had a little 20 two barrel set that had no stamps on the floorplate, but lettered as a Tournament Grade.

When I first got a computer and got on the internet, over on the Doublegunshop.com the general consensus was all "butt ugly Model 21s."

John Dallas 10-22-2023 06:16 PM

That's why I don't spend any time on the Doublegun Shop

I beg to differ: 20ga x 28" x 5lbs 12oz x custom built for Wm Brewster of Brewster Custom Bodies, engraved by: Started by Rudolph J. Kornbrath and finished after his death by Alden G. Ulrich. "Ain't no flies on dat Sunamabitch" W.O. Odem.

Oh Well, you will have to take my word for it, it is pretty nice. Tom

Ah, went advanced, lets see of I can get the photo business done?

Russ Jackson 10-23-2023 07:58 AM

Thats a beautiful model 21 by two of the most respected engravers of their era. I have a early Winchester 20 ga. Grand American(made in 1964-pre-W serial number) that was engraved by either John or Nick Kusmit that is a work of art in my opinion and its not in the same class as your gun.
