2023 Parker additions

1 Attachment(s)
I sold two parkers at the Fall G&D auction and used the proceeds to fill the slots. :)
Top gun BHE 12ga 32" Acme Steel XF/XF #2 frame 2 7/8" chambers (lettered) circa 1906.
Bottom gun DHE 12ga Titanic Steel F/XF #1 1/2 frame circa 1920.

Wonderful guns, Craig, and I like to think I helped some in getting one of your nice guns from the G&D auction. :)

Beautiful guns, would love one like that DHE...... Nicely done sir!

Dan Steingraber 04-21-2023 10:29 AM

Beautiful. I've fallen in love with the B Grade guns. I have a similar 32" gun I'm bringing to the Southern to shoot for the first time.

That's a very early Acme barrled gun isn't it?

Yes within a few hundred numbers off the first BH Acme in the records

Mine, I believe, is a couple hundred numbers on the other side with beautifully struck Titanic barrels.

It’s a beautiful gun…and will get out this coming season. I’m glad you decided to part with it, and glad you got those two beauties. Ducks beware!

I believe Acme Steel barrels were first interoduced in about 1903.

Dan I have my BHE packed for the Southern, I hope our paths cross sometime during the event. Craig

I was thinking about putting a 20ga Damascus collection together, as you know they are uncommon in all hammerless grades. I started with the DH, one of about 130. My goal was a PH,GH,DH,CH and BH. But after a time I realized I would be competing against some motivated buyers. I believe you have filled all the slots except maybe the CH. I know I lost out on a BH 20ga that you were faster than me to contact the seller/dealer. The DH belongs to you my friend, hopefully our paths will cross in the future.

I’ll be there Wednesday through Sunday morning and plan to sling as much lead as possible. I’ve got a BHE 30” 20 I’m hoping to shoot a bunch too.

I have a Bernard CHE 16, but close only counts in horseshoes. I’m content though. They all have (or will) taken game from over my dogs. We each have our goals. Mine are modest, but fulfilling nonetheless. I’d sure like to hear about your duck hunting escapades someday. If you’re at the banquet this year, bend my ear, please.

Dan, are you attending the HOF banquet? We could discuss the wonders of the BH.

Yes Sir, I’m planning to attend. I’m hoping to find a pair of dress pants that still fit so I can finish packing.
