Parker factory order description letter

Good Morning Fellow Parker Lovers;

I would like to get a letter on a 20 ga AHE with 30" barrels on a No 1 frame, that I am interested in buying and I need to know how to go about it. I emailed the PGCA about two weeks ago and I have heard nothing back. Is this typical? Do I need to exhibit more patience?
I'm worried the person I'm attempting to buy the gun from will think I have lost interest and may go elsewhere to raise the money he wants out of Grandpa's gun.

Thanks guys.

Is the gun listed in the Serialization book? If you have the serial number I will check for you. You can also check the Griffin and Howe research page there is a slim chance it was bought there and they may have some info. Here is a link. http://www.griffinhowe.com/research-main.cfm.

Larry,

E-mail isn't going to get you a letter. You need to send in a form requesting it and enclose a check to cover the cost.

Go to the www.parkerguns.org page and on the left side of the page click on "Research Letters" and follow the instructions.

I suggest you think about joining the PGCA, the letter discount for members will help pay for the membership and you can have both at a cost savings.

Just purchased.2 Parkers. Finally... Newbee here. requesting letters on both. Can you tell me what the book says about them? SN 25864(12 ga G) & 140565 (16 ga G). My grandson picked them up for me in ME, and will be shipped this week to me in FL. Thanks. Jim...

It is pretty easy and also easy to email Chuck if you have problems

Thanks. I've got the letter stuff down pat. Was looking for advanced info from the Serialization book. Jim...

25864, D2 T 0 10 32
140565 isn't in the book

Thanks Edgar. I searched the site for SN's and got responses that there were records for both, so guess I'll just have to be patient. The book info doesn't match what I have. According to the pictures 25864 is a 12 ga.,G grade with 30" barrels. I hope the book is in error, as much as I would like it to be a 10, because it would mean the barrels have been cut. Alternatively, the picker could be wrong on both counts. We'll see. Jim...

An old friend of mine was a big football star at North Texas State, he said after many games they would go party on the banks of the Red River, he reported that the Okie’s would throw dynamite ocross the river at them.........Don would comment that they would catch it, light it, and throw it back!
