Mr. Gordon’s BHE above is a very special Parker, to say the least. Those 8 gauge Parker’s are a special class too. |

Dan Lefever was a setter man. I've never known him to own a pointer. He did allow the odd pointer on his sideplates though.

Pointer and setter on a 1897 Crass Grade III. The factory letter has been ordered from Cody awhile back, seems like waiting on a slow boat from China.

I believe he stated in the other thread about the restorations of the gun that it was 1907.

The pointers on the action of my gun wasn’t the first time that theme was used. While the birds engraved ahead of the dogs are different, similar pointers/background were engraved on an earlier gun.
Someone on the forum had shared with me this post from 2006. Interesting. |

Not a Parker but some of the nicest and well proportioned dogs I have seen.
Please tap on each picture for best resolution. I couldn't walk away from this gun despite it having a Cutts installed. Headed out for a week of Turkey hunting in the morning. I am hoping to find out who engraved it when I return. |
What model and gauge Phil?

More Dogs
Unfortunately not a Parker, but the dogs sure get your attention.
And the other is a Parker BHE with a nice reverse 'back' Enjoy, I do; especially when birds are scarce or old bones needing a rest!!(you can read grouse into that comment) Won't let me post photos here?? Will try again! |

Let's see if this gets it done! Absolutely won't post the photos and I was very careful to be a good boy and follow procedure. Sorry! Well I did manage to sort of get it done, but have no idea of how the Parker became inverted. Apparently, one doesn't gain IQ points as they age. Added W.H. Gough signed dog.
