As dandy a triumvirate of purpose driven guns as I could imagine. More chapters to come, no doubt.

CraigThompson 09-29-2022 10:58 AM

John did you acquire the CHE at Hausemanns in June this year ? Or rather is that the gun you showed me when we were on the course there ? All very very nice

Destry L. Hoffard 09-29-2022 11:43 AM

That’s the one.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Concerning the SBT's which do you prefer, SG or PG ?

I seem to recall that CHE being a VR gun as well, nice !

John Davis 09-29-2022 03:29 PM

SG or PG? That's a tough one. As a general rule I would say I prefer a PG but the straight stock works with this one. And yes, the CHE has a vent rib and a single trigger. The CHE is choked Mod (.020) and Light Full (.030). It's suppose to be a back up to my GHE but she's out of commission at the moment, so the CHE is now in the starting lineup. The GHE and CHE are virtually identical, except for the triggers.

CraigThompson 09-29-2022 04:22 PM

Does the CHE have vent rib I cannot remmember ? Since I got the VHE 32” vent rib trap I’ve kinda gotten back into the single trigger mode a bit . Well it and the two VHE skeet guns . I usually shoot them pretty decent .

John Davis 09-29-2022 04:52 PM

It does have a vent rib.

Phil Yearout 09-29-2022 07:59 PM

Classy! I hope you sport a coat and tie when you shoot that lineup; they deserve a bit of formality :)!

Mike Franzen 10-01-2022 06:49 PM

So the CHE has moved into the starting rotation?

At least until I get the GHE back.

Bill Murphy 10-02-2022 09:20 AM

John, what is the problem with the GHE and where did you send it for correction?

John Davis 10-02-2022 11:07 AM

The forend barrel lug is loose, again. I sent it to Bill Schwarz. He says he’s got fix for it.

I had Giacamo do a forend barrel lug once on a VHE 12 and have not since had issue . And about two years ago Breck Gorman fixed the forend barrel lug on my PH 8 and haven’t had issue with it either .

John Davis 10-02-2022 12:32 PM

I think the problem is the number of doubles rounds I run through her. It’s rather demanding.

I see the Three Amigos made the cover page photo for this month. Very appropriate, I might add

I wasn't expecting that. Thank you John Dunkle.
