Crazy. Inflation has hit the used gun market is all I can say
|
Sounds like one I would have bought and then turned around and sold it for $1,500.00.

last week a very attractive 1903 GH 12G sold for $925. it was $325 the last morning no reserve.

It will be interesting to see if this VH 16 appears again in the near future
|
Yows, don't cut your barrels and rush to put your guns on Gunbroker! The Parker name sells but uh, hope it doesn't happen like that too often.

I am sure most of us have had this experience. On many occasions at the clay target clubs i shoot people have asked " what is that gun", when told it is a Parker invariably the response is " those are worth a fortune". When told that the VH 12 i have is available for 1-2000.00 they are shocked.
I have helped some get into double guns, Parkers by pointing them to gun broker and GI and helping with what is reasonable and decent configuration and condition. A few members here have also helped by giving their opinions. The general shooting public see's the rare high condition auction prices and thinks they are all worth that amount. |
