Bob Smith's A-1
Garry broke the ice about missing A-1 Specials. Where is Bob Smith's A-1 Special?
Who is or was Bob Smith ?
Come on, Craig. He's the Bob Smith that owned an A-1 Special. Displayed and maybe sold at OGCA maybe 20 years ago. He had passed away by that time.
What’s OGCA ? Old Guy Collectors Association ?
To be honest I’ve never heard of the guy ! Until today that is .

OGCA - Ohio Gun Collectors Association
I was hoping we could find Fred Johnson’s Mossberg 500. Sold at Walmart in 1983.

Bob Smith is a gunsmith of repute from Dayton, Ohio. He assisted Robert Patterson with his collection over the years. Robert Patterson was the President of National Cash Register who assisted the U.S. Navy in the deciphering of the four reel Enigma machine. Bob Smith was a talented engineer who was also involved, but I don't know how much. His A-1 was quite the gun, and was offered for sale when I had even less money than I have now. I assume it is in the wind.

What was the serial number of Bob Smiths A1-Spl Gary
Don't know the serial number of Bob Smith's Parker.
Any photos ?
When I saw the gun, I did not have a camera, nor did I have any money. I once went to Winter Vegas with $200.
Or my Uncle Remer Lane’s AHE. No serial number or anything but last seen being sold to Otis Odum
Mills, Otis Odum must have bought many guns or had them made to order so to speak, I have a 20 ga A1 Spl upgrade that he bought in the early eighties or so the old tag says, Gary
Uncle Remer's was an original AHE, so I am told. It was in rough condition when my friend acquired it and that was one reason he sent it on to Otis. This all transpired decades ago, so the trail is pretty cold.
