Sincere and heart felt thanks

I’d like to offer my most sincere and heartfelt thanks to all those that publicly and privately shared their thoughts and prayers regarding my recent accident and resulting injuries. First, I want to assure everyone that I am well and making great, albeit early strides on my road to recovery. I was blessed to be in the company of some amazing men at the time of the accident which certainly served to somewhat mitigate the difficulties. The medical attention I’ve received from the first seconds following the accident up to my pending discharge from the hospital has been nothing short of miraculous.
There is much more to do, with months of recovery and therapy and much to unravel, analyze and discuss so together we might learn and help prevent potential future accidents of this nature.
For the present, please continue to pray for my recovery and I’ll keep everyone updated on my progress.
Dan

Thanks for the update Dan. I will certainly pray for a good outcome for you. I'm sure it will be long and hard but there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you're going toward that light with a great outlook.

Be Well my Friend!

On a bit different note but the main idea works for most all , when my mother was fighting cancer her attitude was 220% positive and it took the cancer almost seven years to take her . The doctors told me in their opinion her attitude let her beat the disease as long as she did . So in your case “I think” the more positive you are the better the healing process will go

I am very sorry to hear this happened to you Dan. I hope you make a speedy and full recovery. There is no shame in what happened, it could have been any of us. I hope to see and talk with you at Hausmann's again in the future. All the best.

Well said Don. I was at that table and no matter who it was, I'm truly sorry it happened to such a nice and generous man. Prayers will continue to go out to you Dan. Needless to say, if there is anything anyone in the PGCA can do to help you we're here.

Very sorry to hear about your misfortune, wishing you a fast, full recovery!

Chris Pope 07-10-2022 05:15 PM

Dan,
We've never met. But you can add me to the list of folks pulling for your recovery. And thank you for sharing the information. I have already begun to make changes to my shooting habits, such as check the chambers after EVERY shot, which previously I was not in the habit of doing. It takes a person with a ton of courage and grace to share the story and help the rest of us learn. Thank you.

Mike McKinney 07-12-2022 09:48 PM

My very best for your recovery, quickly. I remember you telling me about your family suppers and I hope these are back underway. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

allen newell 07-14-2022 02:49 PM

good advice. I'm being treated for cancer now.
