Looking for info on my Lifter 5 Attachment(s) I purchased this Lifter in a multi gun deal. It’s been messed with but I figured it could be a shooter or a parts gun at worst. I am posting pictures and appreciate comments. Butt stock is cracked but could be repaired. The things that stand out are. The Crescent butt plate seems deeper than most Parker’s I have seen. At some point it was converted to a selectable single trigger. Finally the rib has been drilled in multiple places. Why? Who knows? |

A letter might address the deeply curved butt contour. . |

Unfortunately I checked with Chuck most of the information is non legible. |

 That's too bad Phil. It's an enigma! . |

man what questions that will never be answered....reckon what fellow built this gun....charlie |

Any information on the trigger, crescent butt, rib and and the markings is greatly appreciated since there is little information available in the records. |

That is a very neat gun! The buttplate looks to be original to me, it is of the proper style for the gun, just a lot more curved. And though the single trigger is obviously a much latter addition. It is very rare to see a single triggered hammer gun, let alone a lifter. Other than the damaged to the stock head, it looks to be in great condition. |

2 Attachment(s) I just realized I didn’t post a picture of the rib. Barrels ring but why the screws along the rib? |
|
I have never seen a single trigger on a lifter. Has anyone? |
|
I’ve seen one on a T/A AA hammer gun but not a Lifter. I can’t even imagine what those screws are for. . |

The George Peck C Grade lifter has a Lancaster single trigger. My Prussian Daly hammer pigeon gun also has a Lancaster (Infallible) single trigger. Both guns were mentioned in a Lancaster catalog folder. I don't know who owns the George Peck lifter, but it surfaced several years ago with a PGCA member. I would like to put it together with the Daly some day. |

Phil, I think that is a wonderful lifter with several unique features. In my opinion it would be worth fixing. I would "guess" the the rib was loose or came off and to screw it on was easier then soldering back on. I think that can be fixed or at least improved. That would be a good question for Breck Gorman. I like that curved buttplate. Overall a fantastic early Lifter! |

probably someone installed a vent rib |

Could be screws for a sight. I had a GH that had two screw holes at either end of the barrrl roll mark. I was told they fastened a Nydar (?) gunsight. |
|
I have two Parkers with screws in the rib. Unfortunately, my Nydar sights do not line up with the screw holes. |
