Vestal Weather

For those of you coming to Hausmanns and who plan to stay in Vestal please be aware that they just had a major storm here, around 4:00. Apparently they had golf ball size hail just before I got into town. From what I can see power is presently out on the full length of the strip, at least the 4 miles I drove on it. That includes the traffic lights. Glad I missed that one.

Same here in Tunkhannock and at Ernie's. No hail but heavy, heavy downpours.

Randy, get your tow strap ready:banghead::cuss:

That's hilarious. I just read Daryl's post and I was thinking I need to reply with something about my tow strap and wallah, there you are. No worries I have it in the truck.

We got to the Quality at 6:30 and power was still out. We could still check in and get into the room though. There was a candlelight party in the bar.

It stormed at Ernies during setup, but not as bad as it did in Vestal by the sound of it.

Randy G Roberts 06-01-2022 07:16 PM

Traffic light down the street is on now but still nothing at the Candlewood. The beer in the cooler seems fine :)

We had hellacious storms roll through this evening. First band was here around 5:00 with torrential rain and plenty of lightning. Power flickered off once. Chuck, I have a tow cable. After I am finished shooting all my events tomorrow I’ll pull you out. The parking area and Bo-Whoop corner are completely different. The April blizzard and a gas pad on the neighbor caused major changes. Campers will want to stay in the field on Flynn Rd if they want to get any sleep.

Never leave home without one.

Randy,
Don't forget to take a picture before you pull him out!

With the help of my Grandson I have recently learned how to spell cell phone VIDEO. I am armed and ready:rotf:

Pic of the parking area taken earlier today, facing south. The well pad is just beyond the end of the field where the logs are stacked. That's where the tent/rib BBQ gents usually stay. Access road to the well pad is on the right of this pic. As Mike posted, the area will likely be too noisy and night lighted to sleep.

Second pic shows how the Fox brethren are ready to help with towing. :rotf:

If it’s AHFCA it’s more like this….

Randy G Roberts 06-01-2022 07:57 PM

Frank did you bring that fabulous rig just to ensure that the "Dark Horse" and the much anticipated Fox long barrel can safely make it to the tent? Is the Tool Man driving :)

Frank Srebro 06-01-2022 08:41 PM

Randy, since this pic was taken we added quad Super-Foxes on top. Full T&E mount. I'm sure the "Dark Horse" will arrive safely with that special Fox. Tool Man tells me he's been in touch with you and he'll probably be in the driver's seat. :)

Mills Morrison 06-01-2022 08:44 PM

We’ll be in late tomorrow night. Hope it clears up by then

Randy G Roberts 06-01-2022 08:55 PM

Power is back on. That's great. Now the Tool Man driving, I'm going to need a little time to get comfortable with that. See you fellas tomorrow.

Mike Koneski 06-01-2022 09:06 PM

Looks like chance of showers until mid-afternoon tomorrow. Y’all can stay under the tents and dry so I can get 6 events completed!! :rotf::rotf: Rest of the weekend looks gorgeous.
