Maryland Antique Arms Collectors Show “The Baltimore show”

Any PGCA friends going to the Baltimore show next weekend (3/19-20)? I’ll be there with two tables. Looking forward to seeing you!

Bill Murphy 03-08-2022 07:36 AM

Josh, what are your table numbers? Kevin McCormack will be holding court at B-4 and B-5 as he has for more than 40 years. I am no longer his table partner because of my inability to sit for three days.

edgarspencer 03-08-2022 08:01 AM

M24, as usual.

Let's see. Bill Murphy, Kevin McCormack, Edgar, James Martin, Josh, that's about it for setup day. The whole front room and awards area was empty but for one row of tables. Attendance must be way down, parking is easy.

Besides the whole front room being empty, the spaces between the rows in the main room were wide enough for golf carts to pass each other. To make that much room, more than a few rows of tables had to be eliminated. There were about three tables that were full of shotguns, yup, about three. Paid non-member attendance was much lower than previous years. Many familiar faces were absent. After fifty years for me at this show, I'm afraid it may be the last in this facility. A smaller venue may give it a few more years. There is a smaller building on the property that may be a solution to smaller participation and attendance.

What, no photos of the venue??

Bill Murphy took lots of pictures. He'll post them later.

Unfortunately, the camera snapped in two after that one picture.

Hey! That's my future son-in-law you're talking about

Daryl Corona 03-22-2022 07:41 PM

Thanks Dad.

Bill Murphy 03-23-2022 05:36 AM

We would like to hear more about that comment, Edgar.

Like any proper gentleman, Daryl asked permission to marry my daughter, and after some consideration, I realized it was the only way my family was ever going to have a 30" 28ga., so I consented.

:biglaugh:

I find it very hard to believe Martha has consented…

I wonder if she has been made aware of this arrangement.

Daryl Corona 03-23-2022 07:23 AM

That's not very nice Dean. We had discussed you and your bride sitting at the head table with flats of RST's as attendance gifts. You guys are just jealous. I'm not losing a 30" 28ga, I'm gaining a warm, loving , and politically correct Father-in-law. We will have joint custody of the 28 as written in the pre-nup.

You don't know Martha (at least I think it was Martha he was after, and not Mallory, but what difference does it make?) I called her right from the table and told her he was Retired, had some nice Parkers, and was independently wealthy. Her reply was " Two out of three? Whats not to like?"
