Some terrible photos of the newest stallion in the heard. She was described as a Runge AA upgrade but I think more accurately identified as a Runge embellished SC. 1919 vintage and 1963 Runge enhanced. 34 inch barrel, choked .044.

John, every SAA I have seen is like yours with the SC pigeon gold inlaid. We don't know if the supposedly one and only SAA original Parker looks like that. It may well look like that. I wouldn't call it an embellished SC. My SAA is in the 204,000 range. Now you need an A-1 to complete your set. Congratulations. Can we see the rest of the stock?

John Davis 02-14-2022 05:41 PM

Bill, I did not know that. So I guess I can say a SAA upgrade. It is stamped AA on the water table. I’ll take some more pictures of the stock.

Brian Dudley 02-14-2022 06:56 PM

That is a very attractive gun.

Reggie Bishop 02-14-2022 07:41 PM

What a beauty!

Randy G Roberts 02-14-2022 08:03 PM

Beautiful gun John. This actually took a little longer to come together than I originally imagined. I was getting a little worried about ya :)

Bill, per your request.

Reggie Bishop 02-15-2022 02:22 PM

How does she shoot John??

John Davis 02-15-2022 02:50 PM

As good as she looks.

Mike Franzen 02-15-2022 02:51 PM

Wow what a gun. I love the gold inlays and the wood is amazing. Walking to the line with that beauty will cause such envy among the other shooters they won’t be able to concentrate.

Reggie, a more accurate answer would be she shoots about a 70/30 pattern or maybe even 80/20. A high POI for sure.

Bill Murphy 02-15-2022 05:34 PM

John, after seeing your wood, I'm thinking about using my SAA wood to start a fire. How about bringing your squad to Maryland this season to shoot our state shoot? Maybe Tom Breeden and I could shoot Parkers with you if you were short a man or two. Tom and I are neighbors and own more single trap guns than anyone between here and Georgia. Tom's son, Dean, is also a Parker and ATA shooter and may join us.

John Davis 02-15-2022 05:57 PM

Bill, we’ll check Maryland out.

If you’re gonna shoot Thurmond you might as well stay up here a couple weeks . If I’m not mistaken Winchester (VA) , Thurmond (MD) and Eillysburg (PA) state shoots are shot within three weeks or atleast they used to be .

Gary Carmichael Sr 02-16-2022 09:56 AM

John, That is one fine gun, like has been mentioned when you go to the line other shooters will be concentrating on your gun and not their scores! Gary

Dean Romig 02-16-2022 11:42 AM

That gun will have them quaking in their boots. It says loud and clear "Here walks a high-average shooter!"

Stunning shotgun, very nice!

John Davis 02-16-2022 12:21 PM

Once I shot a couple of rounds and got tuned into the gun, she has really been impressive. The real test will be when I have an opportunity to compete with her. And I will be competing with her.

CraigThompson 02-16-2022 12:32 PM

So you’ve run four boxes straight at your field with it already ?

John Davis 02-16-2022 12:43 PM

25, 24, 24. It was windy

Dean Romig 02-16-2022 12:55 PM

John, this could be your schedule. Shoot at Hausmann's the beginning of June, then shoot the Colonial Classic/Pa State shoot June 11 thru 19th, then the Maryland State Shoot June 22 thru June 26. Only thing is you may lose your Southern accent and may even become a naturalized Yankee!

GunnerGrilli 02-16-2022 11:57 PM

Fantastic SBT John, Congratulations. Thanks for sharing.

Chuck, at some point in there I would need to be back in Georgia to appear in Divorce Court.
