I had the good fortune to be able to purchase a Parker 20 GHE with 30" barrels. The gun I bought had the stock refininished, barrels re-rust blued and the case coloring redone. Attachment 100463

What a beautiful stock and gun! Bobby
Thank you Sir.
Does the serial number on the barrels match the number on the frame ?
Yes, 194560.
And ejectors to boot. The small gauge long barrel guys will be envious.
That's a beautiful gun!
Very nice! That will be great for bird hunting. Now you need to join PGCA!
Thanks for the comments. I put few rounds through it tonight to see how it would pattern. Both bores measure .15 (+-) restriction. At 20 yards it patterns very close to the modified choke tube of my Beretta 687. I think I'll leave the left barrel as is and have the right one opened to replicate an IC in the .07 range.

Take it bird hunting first and see how you do. I have a 28 gauge mod and extra full. I just let the birds go a little further. It works well

Hey Mills. By necessity I will. I'm headed into the grouse woods a couple times this month before the fellow that would do the work will be back in town. Unfortunately you have to take your grouse shots when they present themselves instead of when you'd like too.
I took mine on woodcock which is kind of the same thing. Will have to admit that my skeet/skeet 28 did better

It’s your gun but personally I would leave the chokes alone.

spreader loads?

Nice gun Steiner!! Welcome to Parker Universe. Now just let the addiction flow through your brain!!! :rotf: I agree with John, let the chokes alone. You'll be surprised at just how well those chokes take birds. Those long barreled 20s are kind of rare birds so it would be a shame to alter those original configurations. ENJOY!!

WOW! Nice gun, beautiful stock, ejectors in a small bore 30". What's not to like here? Congrats on a really nice purchase. Big envy here!
You definitely held out for the right one
