2021 PEOPLES CHOICE AWARDS
As in the past the Peoples Choice Awards will be held in conjunction with the 2021 PGCA annual meeting. This has been scheduled to be held in conjunction with the Northeast Side X Side Classic at Hausmann's Hidden Hollow June 3rd - 5th. The Peoples Choice Awards will be held at Traditions at the Glen Country Club on Friday June 4th.
This years theme will be "UPLAND GUNS". I can envision this bringing out the small bores that most folks pursue birds with but let us not forget that there are hunters out there that pursue Pheasants and who know what else with some larger Parkers that also constitute upland game. A tent card will be prepared for each gun on display containing the following: *Number for voting purposes *Model *Gauge *Year of manufacture *One line for any bullet point you may want to add, just a few words please. In order to enter your gun please email (randy@hsiagency.com) the information as requested above. I will prepare the tent cards and have them available at the dinner. Doors open at 5:00 and I will be there prior to that time. I would like to have all entries on or before May 29 please to allow sufficient time to process cards and prepare. Please bring any items of interest surrounding your gun and or staging items to enhance your display. Attendees will have the opportunity to vote with the top 3 vote getters receiving a very nice trophy. I have not personally seen this years version but I have heard that they are very nice. I am looking forward to some very nice guns this year as always. I urge you to participate and share your fine Parkers with other members. It is as simple as providing me the info and bringing your gun. Please do feel free to reach out to me if you should have any questions. Looking forward to seeing everyone once again. Sincerely: Randy Roberts 812-584-1021 |
Randy, are we limited to just 1 upland gun or may we display more?

Bring as many as you like Dean. Now if we were to get say a 100 entries I might have to rethink that that but I don't see that happening. |
Randy what is “Number of voting purposes”?

Reminder
Hello Everyone:
Bringing this one back to the top as a gentle reminder. Please do consider bringing your favorite Upland Gun for the PCA's. I am quite certain that some of you that will be attending have some fabulous specimens that we would all enjoy drooling over. Thanks to all that have responded so far. |
Do you still have space, Randy?

Bringing this to the top one last time to let everyone know that we still have space, we will always have space even if we have to steal tables. We have a good number of folks that have committed. And don't worry if you are one of those that gets that last minute itch and grabs a gun to display on the way out the door I will have some extra tent cards at the meeting that we can fill out for you. See you all there !

First let me offer my sincere thanks to everyone who participated. The turnout was more than I ever hoped for and we had a wonderful selection of guns. A person could view everything from low to high grade with a multitude of options to study. I received numerous compliments which are all due to your efforts and participation. Russell Cleary was the very deserving and humble Peoples Choice Award winner with his VH 16 followed by a Randy Roberts BHE 20 and a Jim Hall AHE 16. Below are a few pics that I will attempt to label in order as follows:
1)Chuck Bishop GH 28 Ga. 2)Mike Franzen G 16 with rifle inserts 3)Randy Roberts BHE 20 4)Jeff Kuss AHE 12 and CHE 16 two barrel 5)Mike Koneski Quality O 16 (Disregard the tent card. Mtn. Boy used the wrong one) 6)Craig Larter DH 20 Damascus 7)Russell Cleary VH 16, The Gran Poo Baah ! 8)Kevin Nelson CHE 12 Roundel 9)Jim Hall AHE 16 with knockout engraving 10)Jim Hall A1S by Pachmayr 11)Josh Loewensteiner AH 10, 2 Frame ! 12)John and Josh viewing the eye candy 13 & 14) Table views 15)Recipients of the coveted McKinney bowl. Jim Hall, Russell Cleary, Randy Roberts, and the Master Wood Turner himself, The Honorable Mike McKinney. Mills Morrison also displayed a Grade 2 Hammer 16 that I cannot find a picture of, my apologies to Mills and to anyone else that I may have omitted, boy there was a lot going on. Thanks again !! |

And there I thought the AH 10 was a Larter piece  |

Sure. I love this gun
|
Very nice gun Mills. You're in good company with that one - WHF's "Little Gun" made famous in "New England Grouse Shooting" as well as one of Annie Oakley's favorites were both grade-2 16 gauge T/A Parkers!
. |
That is right. Though it would not make much of a grouse gun.
|
Randy you did a great job with the PCA. We all appreciate the time and effort you put forth to make this event successful. Thank you!!
