I am new here. I need some suggestions on what to use on my stock and forend I my Parker VH 16 gauge. It is in good shape and I want to keep it that way. Thanks in advance for your input.

Timberlux is a great product that you can use to revitalize your stock or to use as a finish coat on a refinish job.

Two thumbs up for TimberLuxe :cheers:

Brian just posted my Citori Skeet gun that I re-did with Timberluxe. It was grimy, black in the checkering and worn blonde elsewhere. I stripped it and used his walnut stain and timberluxe. EASY, for me, and I'm not great at this type of thing. That teeny $12 bottle will probably do at least two guns. I am totally sold on it.

Thanks for the info everyone. I will order a bottle

The only downside I can really see is that after it's open a while it becomes thick and viscous and the shelf life is rather short. I'm not sure if you can thin it. Others will know. My bottle has been open a month, it's half full, but noticeably thicker.

If it is in fine condition, then leave it be.

Never heard of it thank you

It compressed inert gas in a can. Sold for dusting off key boards and electronics. Be careful too big a blast and you will refinish the bench!

Oh got it. I thought it was just air

. . but is it finish?
Hi. New user.
So, if one uses Timberluxe on a stock, does that mean it has been refinished? How is this understood among collectors. It sure looks like a nice product, but is it understood as a deep cleaner, or a refinishing product? I have a 1923 GHE that would benefit from a professional cleaning, but am uncertain about this product as part of that. Thanks to anyone who can explain. Owen |
For general cleaning and waxing I use HOWARD FEED-N-WAX. Works very well for all of my guns. Im quit sure others have their favorite products.

I believe if you're simply using Timberluxe for cleaning and protecting the stock finish it should be referred to as freshening the finish, not refinishing it.
