Lefever EE

Browsing GunBroker and noticed this Lefever. Whoever did the engraving on this gun was killing it that day. Especially love that dog on the trigger guard. Talk about detail!

It looks very much like Joseph Loy's work.
. |
Not to denigrate other manufacturers, but I think Lefever had the best engravers/engraving. Dean, the shape of that Setter's head sure does look like Loy work.
|
Schacter says engraving done by Glahn.
He'll also change the chokes for you.:banghead: |

This is from a pretty early CH I used to own. |
I agree Dean.

Some of the folks who scratched metal for Lefever were pretty good. I can't enlarge this here, but this is the side plate on the left side of my EE:
https://i.imgur.com/NJojl45.jpg I have seen that dogs head on another gun recently. Its really good.... EDIT: Yep, same gun on Guns International. Or was.... |

Frank, mine has a Pointer on the right lock plate and a dog head on the trigger guard. No dog on the left lock plate, only flying birds.
|
Both of my E's have a single flying duck in a marsh scene on the trigger guard bow.
|
