went hunting this evening was hoping to get a shot at a hog but no hog or deer showed up .....but 2 big jake turkeys showed up but had to pass on them for a coupla months...and there was about 40 red birds on the field...tried roasting a red bird many years ago about the worst thing I ever tried to eat...ive got 16 days left to hunt deer and can hunt hogs year round no season on them...charlie

My cousin shot a crow when we were younger and my uncle made him eat it. He hasn’t shot one since

I shot an illegal deck when I was 12. I plucked it and removed the head and feet before I brought it home - Dad asked “What’s that?” I said “It’s a crow.” Dad said “You know the rule - you shoot it you eat it.”
That night after dinner Dad said “Best damn crow I ever ate.” with a twinkle in his eye.

I went back deer hunting today seen 3 crowsbut found5 fresh scrapes....fresh hog tracks every where...2 big sow hogs were taken on land joining mine yesterday...looks like the hogs are gaining on the deer population....charlie
