Nice local find

Answering local adds are usually a waste of time. This time it was a exception.
Wow.
I must not get the right paper ! Nice Find Dave ! Congrats !
Score!
What a pick up. I'm only 7 miles from the Washington county line. I did pick up a PH 20 last Feb, but sure not in that condition. Having the factory box is really special
HOLY COW. Great find!

Is the hang-tag in the box? Here is what the cardboard dividers in the box should look like --
Attachment 92025 |
The hang tag is not in the box. It only has the center divider.
Sweet. Congrats and good for you.

Way to go, I'd guess you made your own luck by being alert! I've got some nice guns locally and try to keep an eye out, too. I think that's a last year gun, 1939.
Very cool find. A true benchmark gun to use to evaluate factory vs redone case colors.
Lucky dog on that one, very nice!!!!!

I can't see it in your pictures, but does it have the
PROOF TESTED--16 GAUGE --2 3/4 INCH CHAMBER-- stamping on the left barrel as shown here on this gun with ten digits higher serial number -- Attachment 92039 That stamping begins appearing on some guns that letter to 1938 and is pretty universal on guns that letter 1939 and later. |
And thats why we never stop looking.

Dave, I took a few extra photos for you.
Dave, has that gun ever been shot?
Yes it has. Very little though. I looks as though it has been hunted. The gun still retains more than 95% condition.
Yikes! What a sweet find.
