Yes I have been in contact with him That tang screw hole is kinda iffy I more just want the barrels as I have a 3 frame 10 300 numbers apart that hope to fit for a 2 barrel set
|
hope you luck ...I have a 3 fram 12 gawighs 9 1/4 lbs got 3 inch chambers..will really do good on ducks and geese....I tried putting them on a 3 frame 10 ga but they would not work without a lot of work but my numbers were off by several thousand....good luck....charlie

It probably would not be too hard to save. If it were a Grade 2 I would have already bought it

A perfect example of when someone thinks they need to re-engineer something by adding more screws. And bigger ones at that. With how poorly fitted that replacement stock is, the extra screws are likely necessary to hold it on.
The barrels look nice, the little of them that I see. |
If the stock was not salvageable, it would not be worth a restock

Probably the same moron who drilled a second hole through the engraving on the trigger guard tang on my 16 ga. 0 frame AH when he couldn't get it to lie flush to the inletting of the crappy VH stock he tried to fit to it!! |

In my continuing recording of barrel material markings near the front of the right barrel flat, I note that this gun is marked with just a T without the crescent above and below.
Attachment 90635 I've noted a Twist barrel hammer gun in the 132xxx range also marked with just the T. |
my 3 frame weighs 9 1/4 lbs all together....it is a 12 ga....it s heavy but handles real good....charlie
|
The weight stamp on these 3-frame barrels is 5 4. The originally 32-inch 12-gauge barrels for my 2-frame have a weight stamp of 5 8.

my gun has the barrels stamped 5-14....these 3 frames were built stout and I use heavy loads in mine....really not to heavy if you have to walk a piece to get to the ducks or what ever....for squirls I use 1 1/4 ounce loads...for ducks and geese I use the 1 1/8 and 1 1/4 steel loads in the 3 inch federal or Winchester shells... for turkey I use the 3 inch shells 1 7/8or 2 ounce loads of lead or the new tungsten loads in 3 inch... charlie

I've probably had 12-15 project guns re-done over the 15 years, one of my most painful learnings is never buy a gun which has been worked on by a amateur gunsmith. You'll can spend thousands of dollar fixing their mistakes before you can start re-doing the gun. I now look for a clean guns which is worn but original.

I hope you enjoy it when it arrives.

3 frame 12 gauges are underrated in the Parker world. I love the two I own.

My favorite #3 frame 12 is a Damascus DH two barrel set, 30" and 28" in a home made wood case fitted to the gun. I was at a Maryland gun show, waiting in line when I spotted it. I had no money but was carrying a Smith and Wesson 38-44 five screw that I traded for the Parker. The DH is quite a gun.
