For Bill, Kevin and my other friends on this site
My wife passed a couple of days ago. I wanted my friends to know. She hunted and fished with me often. She became quite a duck shot, has taken many grouse and loved all of my bird dogs. She was a great partner.......there is a void now that cannot be filled.

It saddens me. There is a powerful prayer group that will listen to you and give you a personal prayer and message that might help you right now. It’s Private, free and just takes a phone call. The number is (800) 669-7729. It has helped me get through some tough times. I wish I could do more.

I am very sorry for the loss of your wife.

Tom:
I hope it helps for me to say that your pain may be excruciating, but her troubles are over. And, from a recovering atheist, don't be above taking out a copy of the Bible and reading the 23rd Psalm. Russell |
So sorry to hear of your loss Tom

Tom, I lost my wife to cancer after a year long battle. We were high school sweethearts.
I know of your loss and what you are going through. Just take comfort that our Lord let you have her for as long as you did and keep all those wonderful memories. There will not be a day that you won't think of her and that is ok. She was a chapter in your life and a wonderful one at that. Just remember that. God be with you and your family. |
Tom,
I am sorry. I wish you peace. I hope in this time of grief you are able to spend time in the woods and fields that you both loved and you begin to heal. |
Tom...very sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!
|
Very sorry to hear this Tom, I will be praying for you and your family.

Tom, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. We all share your loss and wish we knew what to say. God will give you strength to face each day and I hope you will smile through the tears and always know that you will see her again and there will be no sorrow. Life gives you gifts and she was really a special gift in your life and she would want you to enjoy every day until you can be together again. Stay close to family and friends, they will give you strength and joy when you can't seem to find it, help others and you will find that will keep you busy and moving forward, always with the love of your life close in your thoughts and in your heart. God Bless.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your loving partner. I think I know somewhat of what your going through as I lost my 38 yr. old son a little over year ago, he also hunted and fished with me. Time will heal partially, but it will take time. God Bless.

Thank you all for your kind comments. They are very comforting at a time like this. I appreciate it greatly.
As I mentioned, Sheryl became a proficient grouse shot and loved to hunt ducks. It was her favorite hunting. I'll leave you with one anecdote. She has killed many deer. When I first got her started, I took her to a field adjacent to the airstrip that was frequented in the evening by deer. Before dark a large shooter buck (we only shoot three and a half year olds or better bucks). The deer came out at the end of the field about 250 yards away. I took the gun from her and told it was too long of a shot for her. She protested but I took the gun anyway and proceeded to miss the deer. It was confused by the direction of the shot and ran further into the field and stopped about 100 yards away, looking. I handed the gun to her and she dropped it in its tracks with her .243. She told everyone I missed the buck and she got it much to my chagrin. I actually loved the kidding. |
Tom, I do not know what I would do without my wife, cherish the memories, she is in Gods hands, and at peace, Gary
