Day One of the Setter Life
1 Attachment(s)
After a few days at Lake of the Ozarks followed by an eleven hour drive home from Hartsburg, Missouri, this little Ryman setter (Snoop) has a new home.
Yours truly looks forward to learning the setter life. -Victor |
Beautiful pup! I can visualize your young man in the field with the dog. The future is bright after all.

Life with setters is a wonderful life. Love him and he’ll love you back, tenfold.

Beautiful pup.. He is about to trust you completely to do the right thing by him. An always gentle hand will win the race...that and lots of Birds.

absolutely beautiful pup (but of course- its a Ryman) - enjoy and take lots of pictures - they don't stay little for long a setter puppy is as close as science will ever come to a perpetual motion device |
Love the color and markings. Beautiful pup.

Nothing like a new puppy!
|
dandy!!
|
Your life will be richer.
|
I hope it is a grand adventure for all involved and have fun every day. It’s the journey that you will remember.

A beauty! makes me want another--I must resist, I have 3 females already.
Such a shame that there is no longer much of a huntable grouse population in Ohio to train her on. I guess I should just feel lucky to have grown up in better times. Have fun |
My dad and I brought home my first setter when I was three years old. What a life it was for me. I also had her son until I was out of high school.
|
I have had a long love affair with Setters. My father had a number of good dogs over the years, a setter being the best. When I became the guy with the dogs, English Setters were my choice. My first litter was in 1983. I hope you enjoy your journey as much as I have.
