Beautiful Wood work by Chris Dawe
 

Chris Dawe has done my BHE wood. I originally posted pics of the gun when I joined the association. It had damage at the wrist and 100 odd years of grime to clean. I asked him not to erase every bump and mark just repair the damage and recut the worn checkering...
The results were superb. I cannot express how beautiful the wood is and how the light plays off the figure.

That’s beautiful craftsmanship. But it’s no surprise - we’ve seen examples of his work before.
I posted pictures a couple of years ago of the stock Chris restored on my Grade-4 hammer gun.

I’ve got one I’ve been told Mr. Dawe did the work and I’m pleased to say the least !

All looks to have turned out great on that one. What a beautiful piece of wood!

Mr.Dawe never disappoints.

It is quite the piece of walnut. The variances in the grain reflects the light as you move it. The finish work has added so much depth, I am beyond happy.
