i've always liked B&W, still shoot a lot of it (film)

more fishing than hunting - but hopefully the new pup will be a more agreeable posing subject.

Here are some old photos of my dad from another time.

Phil Yearout 05-08-2020 08:21 PM

Yeah! That's what I like; the old Brownie or Instamatic snapshot after the hunt, the guy with the goofy look on his face, the dog that won't quite pose...etc. Not that yours have any of that; just sayin'. I have not one of my dad or anybody else from hunting or fishing back in the day; our family just wasn't picture takers. I envy yours.

Phil, I assume you were the distinguished gent with the Parker in those pics?
Great pics everyone!

Phil Yearout 05-08-2020 10:22 PM

Harold, that would be me :). And God love that little 16ga Trojan that later got me in the Doubles Club!

Garth Gustafson 05-09-2020 09:59 AM

Phil is that your good buddy Stanley there in the 1st picture? I never forgot that story you told about him.

Phil Yearout 05-09-2020 11:06 AM

Garth, yep; that's Stan 4th from the left. That's also Stan on the left walking a cover with a granddaughter trailing behind.

WHO, I see your father was a "Man for all Seasons" so to speak

Wayne Owens 06-12-2020 11:23 AM

Gary, He sure was a man of all seasons. Always hunting or fishing throughout the year. Living 13 miles south of Yosemite there were always opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
