Hausmann's Classic

I have just taken a look at Ernie's website and there is a posting there that indicates the course being closed as per Governor Wolfs order. No mention yet as to the status of the SxS Classic in June. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

I am not hopeful, but I did book my hotel room just in case.

As did I. My glass will remain half full with optimism for this shoot. If it's cancelled I'll top it off with a little Knob and drink my optimism.

Joe Graziano 03-29-2020 09:13 PM

That would be very sad, indeed. If it is, we can hope for the Vintagers in September.

Joe Graziano 03-29-2020 09:16 PM

Btw, for anyone in the area, I found an open sporting clays course. Owen Station in Delaware, just south of Dover is open. I’d never been there before. It’s a nice clays and 5-stand course, run by the state. It’s also surprisingly inexpensive.

I wouldn't count Ernie's shoot out yet. The way it seems to look is that we have to shut down until the end of April. May is undetermined as yet. Even the feds are saying shooting ranges should remain open.

This shut down is making the Rock Mountain SxS shoot at the end of July look really good again this year. 4 days, plenty of shooting and lots of trophies to win or shoot at a reduced cost "for fun". (That was my blatant self-promotion) :rotf::rotf::rotf:

Thanks Mike for the reduced cost for us "fun" shooters. :)

No problem Eric. We'd rather have you guys come and play in our sandbox than stay away because competition is not your thing. We had a lot of non-trophy shooters last year and expect more this year.

Joe Graziano 03-31-2020 03:20 PM

Mike, could you post info on your July shoot, especially the dates. It’s a nice thing the put on the calendar right now.

Mike Koneski 03-31-2020 04:05 PM

Joe, if you go to "Non-Parker shooting events, shows & conventions" and open "Mark Your Calendars", all the current info is there. :)

Brian Dudley 04-16-2020 03:06 PM

I just for the call from Ernie letting me know that the NE SxS is in fact officially cancelled.

Joe Graziano 04-16-2020 03:17 PM

I truly hate this “stuff” and the idiots foisting it on us.

Eric Eis 04-16-2020 04:06 PM

Yep I heard from Steve Barrnet this afternoon that he had just got off the phone with Ernie and the shoot is cancelled.:crying:

Randy G Roberts 04-16-2020 04:12 PM

Tulsa, Southern, Northeast SxS, all the local clubs closed. I feel like I am in detox ! I am gonna have to dust off the traps down at the farm I suppose and get a little practice in.

Joe Graziano 04-16-2020 04:46 PM

This has all gone so wildly beyond any reason, it's infuriating. I’m not going to work so I can pay bills and sit at home until some petty leftist tyrant decides it’s safe for me to shoot a shotgun again. %#*+ them all!

When the Governor closed schools throughout PA for the rest of the year, I felt it very unlikely our annual reunion at Ernie’s had much chance of happening. As much as I look forward to being together with the gang that occupies Paul’s field, I hate the potential risk to people I care about.

Just yesterday the PA Health Secretary Rachel Levine ordered essential businesses to take additional precautions to protect their employees /customers. New requirements include the employer must take the temperature of each employee and all employees must wear masks.
Here’s to better days ahead!

Mike Koneski 04-16-2020 06:51 PM

The two shoots I get a chance to get out and compete are both cancelled!! Not a happy camper!! Hope this nonsense is over soon. If we have to cancel our SxS shoot the end of July there will be plenty of bad things happening.

todd allen 04-16-2020 06:57 PM

Our monthly fun shoot is on for this Saturday in Mesquite NV. (Technically just across the border in Arizona)
Everything else is closed down.

Mike,
You better have plenty of targets on hand in July, the way things are taking shape, it will take a ton of shooting to make me feel better again:cool:

If Govenor Wolfie and his Health Secretary Rachel Levine (formally Richard Levine) don’t soon start using a little more common sense, we may have to take lessons from the protesters in Michigan.

Yep, all my shooting cronies are going through withdrawal. We are saying the hell with it and getting out a few traps at the club and burn some powder tomorrow even if we have to do it in the 5" of snow forecast tonight.

Rich Anderson 04-17-2020 03:54 PM

On a positive note look at all the money being saved on not having to buy gas, food, lodging, target fees, booze, and guns.

I might just have to take a four day weekend to Drakes Landing when this crap is over with just to decompress :rotf:
At least I can slip down to the gun club and shoot rifles. Five minuets away and members only.

Harold Lee Pickens 04-17-2020 05:34 PM

Saving all kind of money due to this virus. I think I have burned more gas in my chain saw than I have in my truck this past month, and who needs deodorant, hell, we're not around anybody else. Barbershops are closed, thinking about growing a ponytail, might as well stop shaving also.
